Reform of the National Traffic and Transport Code – Colombia.

OBJETO: Technical study for the reform of institutional and technical matters (behavior, vehicles and road infrastructure) and penalties in road safety matters in the Traffic Code, within the framework of the policies contained in the National Road Safety Plan

DESCRIPCIÓN DEL PROYECTO: The consultancy made a proposal for the articles of law containing rules to be included in a model that mitigates risks to road safety from an institutional, technical point of view (behavior, vehicles and road infrastructure) and considerations of penalties. A diagnosis was made of the conditions of use of powers of traffic management, control, surveillance and sanction derived from the current traffic regulations; and the proposed regulations were drawn up with the inclusion of those institutional and technical considerations and the consideration of penalties as a means of mitigating road safety risks.
